Nice morning for a Library

Well it was a nice morning to go to the Library. Did my sing-a-long book signing at the Paseo Verde Library this morning. About 20-25 children showed up with there mom's. It was fun. It seemed the children had a good time anyway. Being my first real sing-a-long book signing, I think things went well. I learned a few things that I need to change in my performance though. So the next one will flow a little easier. Which will be on the 30th of this month. Buttonz was so good in letting the kids pet her. Only one grawl from her because a lady was standing over me. LOL But other then that, she was really good. Hubby wasn't there to take pics of it, boo hoo so no photos of this signing and boo hoo no books were sold. Oh well, until the next book signing adventure. Bye for now.

First book signings

My first sing-a-long book is called "My Name is Buttonz" for ages 3 to 7 years. The child can read it or sing-a-long with it. It helps the child to learn to read better by singing it. My first book signing was Aug 28th at the Clark County Library for a Meet the Author Night. I was on a panel of 9 other children author's to answer questions about writing and publishing your first children's book. Then afterwards there was a book signing. I didn't sell any that night but had a great time meeting all the people and had great comments on my book.

My first offical book signing would be at the Book Boutique

where I would do well known and original children sing-a-long songs and introduce my book. So I grabed my guitar and books, my assistant/friend and husband for support and went on downtown to our local bookstore. The owner put out treats for the kids and set up a table and had everything in order. It looked so nice.

So we all waited and waited and a half past noon I decided that no one was coming. So we packed it up and decided to go about our day. Come to find out there was a festival going on down the street which blocked off the main street.
Wouldn't you know it. Just my luck. I felt bad for the bookstore owner as well. Oh well, until the next book signing. Stay turned.
