Harvest time

I love harvest time. It's just such a nice time of year. So I've been playing guitar at our local Farmers Market and loving it. I get to sell my books and hang out with some really great people and eat really great food. I do some sing-a-long songs for the kids and then some classic rock song for the event. Weather has been great except yesterday was a little to windy to keep up a canopy. No big deal though I always enjoy myself no matter what the weather is like.
I'm really looking forward to the Las Vegas Target Children's Book Festival on
Nov 7th I'm one of the local author's that will be there. It's going to be a great time. I get to bring my guitar and do the "My Name is Buttonz" song. Which speaking of, I've put a cd with the book now. But people can only get the cd if they come to one of my book signings, farmers market or order from my website. The cost is just $2 more. Well until the next event or adventure. Chow for now.

ARTsWALK

What a great time at the ARTsWALK last Thursday. Just did sing-a-long songs for the Boys and Girls club kids that came out to the event in the downtown Henderson. They got to do free arts and crafts. They had a great time as you can see.

Did the Buttonz song with Buttonz in the middle. The kids loved her and one little girl got to experience the Buttonz Breathe. Eeewwww LOL with a little lick on her face. Hubby was there to play the djembee. It was fun. We'll be doing it again on the Third Thursday of next month. Chow for now.

Gibson Library

What a great morning at the library. My husband Mark and I entertained about 12 children and their parents with sing-a-long songs and the kids participated in playing hand held instruments. Shared the Buttonz book and then the real Buttonz appeared.

The children had a lot of fun. So did we. Gave out pencils to all the kids and I sold one book to a really cute family of 3 children. Until the next event. Chow for now.

Farmers Market

Well last Thursday I joined up with our local Farmers Market to sell my book along with our local Art Gallery. It was an awesome day. Weather was prefect. I'm happy to say I sold one book. Played some songs for a couple of little ones. I think for any children's book author, that a farmers market is a great place to sell your book or books. If you hook up with a musician or some other kind of artist you can split the cost of space for the day, which is a very small fee. Keeping in mind that some days will be better then others. I'm looking forward to next Thursday.

Art in the Park

What a great weekend in Boulder City, NV. Not only did I get to perform children songs for the 47th Annual Art in the Park Saturday, but we did the live sound for the event the whole weekend as well. My husband and I have a small sound company called "Pure Evidence Audio". I find the artist and put the entertainment program together for this event and he does the sound along with a couple of our friends. It's fun. It was extremely windy the whole time so that wasn't so fun, but the music was awesome this year. Skins feeling a little chapped today though. lol Anyway, I am happy to say 2 books sold. Until the next event. Chow for now.

Green Valley Library

Well I'm really enjoying my library visits. Last night my book signing/sing-a-long was at Green Valley Library. Just a couple of handful of kids and parents came but I have to say, that was the best sing-a-long we've had yet. My husband Mark was there and played the djembee. Everyone sang and the kids participated in helping by playing hand percussions and clapping. They loved meeting Buttonz too.

No books were sold but we made up for it by having a great time. Until the next signing. Blessings

Nice morning for a Library

Well it was a nice morning to go to the Library. Did my sing-a-long book signing at the Paseo Verde Library this morning. About 20-25 children showed up with there mom's. It was fun. It seemed the children had a good time anyway. Being my first real sing-a-long book signing, I think things went well. I learned a few things that I need to change in my performance though. So the next one will flow a little easier. Which will be on the 30th of this month. Buttonz was so good in letting the kids pet her. Only one grawl from her because a lady was standing over me. LOL But other then that, she was really good. Hubby wasn't there to take pics of it, boo hoo so no photos of this signing and boo hoo no books were sold. Oh well, until the next book signing adventure. Bye for now.
